Camp Yavneh Multi Purpose Building - Northwood, New Hampshire
The 5,600 s.f. facility houses a prayer space (Beit Midrash), staff lounge, alumni hall, and study area (Karem). A seamless transition between exterior and interior spaces was achieved by using the topography, abundant deck space, natural materials, horizontal planes, and floor to ceiling glass.
The master planning helps to unify the campus with a building that compliments the existing camp with massing, forms, and materials. It sits atop a hill that overlooks the campus while blending into the landscape. The forms of the building also create an exterior courtyard to a central space in the campus.
