Canaan Schools Connector Addition - Canaan, Vermont
The Canaan Schools connector is a multi-function building that links the Elementary School to the High School. It’s primary function is to address security by controlling access to both schools. The program also includes exterior covered waiting areas for students, administration offices and a new elevator to provide access between the high school and elementary school.

The design intent is to create a sense of entry with a building that relates to the existing elementary school, high school, and the vernacular architecture of the area. Ample natural light, ventilation, and cost were other considerations of the project. Bringing the project to completion is a grass roots community effort. TRH Design is working closely with the owner on generating fund raising material to realize this vision.
